The collections have pieces that are part of the Catalan artistic heritage. In the exhibition of the Museum of Modernist you can find paintings, sculptures, furniture and discover the artists of all the works.
The furniture found in the museum could be seen in the representative buildings of the bourgeois era showing the exuberant decoration of the houses. In the paintings exhibitions, we can find works from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The works have technical and thematic elements in oil, reflecting the changes of the time. The artists that represent them are Modest Urgell, Ramon Martí Alsina, Lluís Graner, Joaquim Mir, Gaspar Camps, Ramon Casas and Santiago Rusiñol among others. Also, modernist Catalan sculptures show a more moving and personal character.
We recommend that you visit the Museum of Modernist in a relaxed way, observe the works and discover the details that invade throughout the museum. On the top floor, there is a room dedicated to Antonio Gaudi.
