Recinte Modernista Sant Pau de Barcelona

El Hospital de Sant Pau fue concebido como un hospital tanto para el cuerpo como para el alma. Domènech i Montaner proyectó una ciudad jardín, con un conjunto de edificios, entre los que destacan el propio hospital con 16 pabellones, una iglesia y un convento. Un retiro natural en el que la mejora de los pacientes no dependiera solamente de la medicina, sino también del propio recinto, un lugar acogedor para la mejora anímica y emocional.

La entrada al Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau incluye un paseo por los diferentes Pabellones del recinto:

  • Espacio Expositivo del Pabellón de Sant Salvador
  • Pabellón Sant Rafael
  • Pabellón de la Purísima
  • Pabellón de Administración
  • Exterior del resto de edificios
  • Recorrido de túneles
  • Jardines

Horario

  • De Abril a Octubre. Lunes a Sábado de 10:00 a 18:30h. Domingos y festivos: 10:00 a 14:30h.
  • De Noviembre a Marzo. Lunes a Sábado de 10:00 a 16:30h. Domingos y festivos de 10:00 a 14:30h.
  • Visita Guiada: diaria, inglés 10:30 y castellano 12:00. En francés, fines de semana a las 11:00

Qué ver en el Recinte Modernista Sant Pau de Barcelona

El Recinte Modernista Sant Pau de Barcelona es un recorrido por los diferentes pabellones, jardines y túneles. Además de disfrutar de la arquitectura y diseño exterior con sus maravillosas fachadas de clara temática inspirada en la naturaleza, increíbles vidrieras y torres, son visitables algunos de los pabellones:

El Pabellón de Sant Salvador acoge un espacio expositivo claramente orientado a la historia y evolución de la medicina en Barcelona desde el hospital del Raval en 1401 hasta la Santa Creu del siglo XXI.

El Pabellón de Sant Rafael ha recreado una sala de pacientes de los años 20, todo un viaje por el tiempo al principio del siglo XX.

Los túneles recorren todos los edificios por el subsuelo.

El Pabellón de la Administración que actualmente acoge un archivo histórico del Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Un archivo que recoge datos desde el siglo XV.

Como ves, la entrada al Recinte Modernista consiste en mucho más que la admiración por la arquitectura, es admirar la historia médica de Barcelona.
